Reporting to the Director of Engineering Services, the incumbent participates in the design and updating of mechanical plans in an industrial environment. Using specialized software, they produce 2D and 3D technical drawings, support engineering teams, and contribute to project execution in the factory and on-site.
Main Responsibilities
Create technical drawings in a 2D and/or 3D environment;
Collaborate with designers to develop mechanical and piping installation plans using AutoCAD and Plant 3D;
Produce general arrangement and detailed drawings for mechanical and piping installations;
Generate process diagrams (PFD, P&ID);
Create isometric drawings from 3D models;
Extract and prepare material lists required for projects;
Support installation teams during on-site work;
Integrate 3D drawings into 3D scan surveys (Autodesk ReCap);
Conduct surveys and take measurements at work sites;
Ensure compliance and maintenance of drawing and technical documentation standards;
Perform any other related tasks necessary for project completion.
Requirements
DEP or DEC in industrial design, mechanical engineering, or equivalent training;
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a similar role;
Proficiency in software: AutoCAD 2D/3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Microsoft Suite;
Specialization or significant experience in piping design (major asset);
Experience in the petrochemical sector or heavy industrial environment;
Interest and openness towards technical drawings from other disciplines;
Bilingualism (French and English) is essential.
