What- the Role:
On behalf of our client, Swim Recruiting is seeking a new Talent Acquisition Specialist (i.e. TAS) who will manage full-cycle recruitment for 6 to 8 manufacturing sites in Canada and the US.
The TAS will handle a portfolio of searches for various geographies, from entry level to senior level, in areas such as manufacturing, engineering, sales, continuous improvement, etc. Mostly for salaried roles, but supporting some hourly recruitment as needed.
This role involves start to finish recruitment including: sourcing, headhunting (Linkedin Recruiter license is provided), screening, 1st stage interviews, candidate communication & candidate experience management, references, offer presentation, and staying in touch until Day 1.
In addition to hands-on full-cycle recruitment, the TAS will also contribute to succession planning and workforce planning for the manufacturing sites, initiatives related to employment branding, process improvements in areas such as the career site/job postings and onboarding, etc.
The TAS will participate in career fairs and other talent attraction events. They will also be the go-to expert within manufacturing to support hiring managers with things like interview best practices, salary negotiations,
In future there may be opportunity for this Talent Acquisition Specialist to support Human Resources (such as employee relations) as well, but the main focus of the role is truly high quality talent acquisition.

Who- the Candidate:
We are seeking a dynamic, collaborative, and proactive senior-level recruiter with great communication and interpersonal skills. Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years of relevant and progressive recruitment work experience, preferably within a complex business with operations and employees across multiple geographies.
What- the Qualifications:
- Strong sourcing and headhunting capabilities, with the ability to get creative with TA approach to identify the best talent available!
- Experience recruiting for the manufacturing sector
- Experience doing salaried recruitment is required. Experience with hourly recruitment is an asset.
- Experience recruiting on roles in multiple Canadian provinces and multiple US states is highly preferred!
- Systems- Experience using an ATS and using Linkedin Recruiter. Proficiency in Excel is required. Experience using an HRIS is an asset, but not required.
- Relevant post-secondary education is preferred.
- Happy working from the office 4 days/week and building in-person relationships.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle diverse TA work in a fast-paced, fluid, and entrepreneurial work environment.
- True business partnership approach, with ability to build relationships with all hiring managers in all regions. Ability to confidently provide TA consultation, including job market insight, to hiring managers.
How Much:
Competitive total compensation commensurate with level of TA skills, experience, and education. Salary will likely be in the range of $80,000 of $90,000, perhaps with some wiggle room for someone with highly relevant work experience. Where:
Based in an office South of the Fraser River. Great location for someone living in Langley, North Surrey, Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge, Coquitlam, etc.
The TAS will likely work in the office 5 days a week during training and onboarding. After that, they can choose to work from home on Fridays.
There will be occasional work travel to manufacturing sites elsewhere in Canada and in the US (not likely more than once a quarter), to get to know hiring managers and their teams in-person and to see the differences at the various operations.
