Plant Office Administrator job opening in North York, ON (on-site)
Immediate temporary assignment for approx. 2 months with potential extension
Monday to Friday | 8:00 to 4:30
Pay Rate between $19.00 to $22.00 per hour, commensurate based on experience
Our client, a well-established organization in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Plant Office Administrator to support day-to-day office administrative and clerical functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys administrative work, document management, filing, record maintenance, and providing general office support in a fast-paced environment. This role is primarily administrative in nature and is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills who enjoys working with documents, records, and office coordination tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize both physical and electronic filing systems, ensuring records are accurate, current, and easy to access.
- Perform substantial paper filing, document scanning, and records management activities.
- Prepare correspondence, employment verification letters, and other administrative documents as required.
- Assist with data entry, updating spreadsheets, and maintaining internal records.
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and schedules for various departments.
- Support onboarding administration, including document collection and record maintenance.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, courier shipments, and package deliveries.
- Provide professional assistance to employees, visitors, and external contacts.
- Assist with report preparation, presentations, and special administrative projects.
- Perform general office support duties as assigned for various teams including HR.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative, clerical, office support, or records management role.
- Confidence with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain organized filing systems.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to handle highly confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Physical & Work Environment
- Office-based with regular handling of paper files and computer systems
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and filing activities.
- May occasionally lift and move boxes or files weighing up to 10 lbs.
