About the Job:

Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Brand Manager, Women's Health will be responsible for leading the commercial performance and growth of an established women’s health portfolio in Canada. The role owns the development and execution of annual brand plans, demand and revenue forecasting, promotional budget management, and delivery of sales and profitability objectives.

The Brand Manager serves as the internal commercial expert for the assigned therapeutic area, bringing the perspectives of prescribers, pharmacists and patients into business decisions. Working cross-functionally with Sales, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Supply Chain and Finance, the Brand Manager translates brand strategy and market insights into effective commercial execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Strategy & Commercial Performance

  • Lead the annual brand planning process for assigned women’s health products, including positioning, segmentation, key messages, channel strategy and tactical execution.
  • Drive achievement of net sales, gross margin and contribution margin objectives; manage the A&P budget and recommend reallocation of investment based on performance and return.
  • Develop and maintain monthly demand and revenue forecasts in partnership with Supply Chain and Finance; analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop pricing, trade terms and promotional recommendations in collaboration with Sales leadership and other key stakeholders.

Lifecycle management

  • Identify and advance lifecycle opportunities, including new indications, formulations, pack configurations, label updates and line extensions, from business case development through launch.
  • Monitor competitive activity, including new market entrants, generic or biosimilar competition where applicable, and formulary/reimbursement changes; develop proactive brand defence and switching strategies.
  • Lead commercial planning for product transitions, discontinuations and supply interruptions, ensuring timely and effective communication with customers and the field.

Customer and Market Insight

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape, customer behaviour and evolving market dynamics, translating insights into actionable recommendations for the brand.
  • Regularly engage in field visits with sales representatives to gain first-hand insights into customer needs, market dynamics, competitive activity, and brand performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, professional associations, and relevant patient organizations, in partnership with Medical Affairs, to deepen market understanding and inform brand strategy.

Execution & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional brand initiatives and influence stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment on brand priorities, timelines and execution.
  • Present brand performance and recommendations to the Leadership Team, providing clear insights into results, risks, opportunities and required actions.
  • Develop HCP and patient materials, digital assets and congress plans with agency partners, on time and on budget.
  • Lead the development and approval of promotional materials through the Company’s medical, regulatory and legal review processes, ensuring compliance with PAAB requirements and applicable industry standards. Train and equip the sales force: cycle messaging, objection handling, sales aids and performance dashboards.
  • Report brand performance to the leadership team with a clear read on what is working, what is not, and what changes next.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and promote the Company’s Mission, Vision and Values in day-to-day activities and interactions.
  • Comply with all Company policies, procedures, ethical standards and applicable industry requirements.
  • Ensure the prompt reporting of product complaints and potential adverse drug reactions within 24 hours, in accordance with Company procedures and required training.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, based on evolving business needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in the Canadian pharmaceutical industry, including at least 2 years in prescription product management or brand marketing with direct budget responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a brand P&L, or a significant portion of one, including forecasting, budget management, and delivery against sales targets.
  • Working knowledge of the Canadian pharmaceutical regulatory and promotional environment, including Health Canada, PAAB, and the IMC Code.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including experience working with prescription/market data and Excel.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both senior leaders and healthcare professionals.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in women’s health, including areas such as contraception, fertility, menopause, obstetrics, iron deficiency, or gynecological health.
  • Previous pharmaceutical sales experience and/or experience launching a prescription product in Canada.
  • Experience working in a small or mid-sized pharmaceutical organization where roles require both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
  • Functional proficiency in French.

Working Conditions:

  • This position operates in a professional office environment with regular interaction and collaboration across departments.
  • The role requires domestic travel of approximately 20–30%, including field visits, customer meetings, conferences and other business-related activities.
  • Travel may require overnight stays and occasional weekend attendance, particularly for conferences, congresses and business meetings.
  • The position involves regular use of computers, virtual meeting platforms and other standard office technology.
  • Flexibility in working hours may occasionally be required to support business activities, meetings, product launches and events.
