Project Site Coordinator – Concrete High-Rise

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Project Site Coordinator to join a well-established developer-builder delivering multi-family residential projects across the Lower Mainland. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Coordinator with concrete high-rise experience to join an active 21-storey residential tower in Surrey.

The project is currently underway and at ground level, with this position working alongside an established Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, another Project Coordinator, and three Superintendents. The current development includes four planned towers, with a 34-storey tower expected to follow. Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager, Senior Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day project coordination and construction delivery
• Coordinate project schedules, resources, equipment and project information
• Manage RFIs, submittals and shop drawing processes
• Prepare and maintain project correspondence, documentation, purchase orders and change orders
• Support change order pricing, negotiation and assessment of cost and schedule impacts
• Monitor project progress and assist with identifying and resolving construction issues
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and municipal/building department stakeholders
• Maintain subcontractor documentation and contractual requirements
• Assist with costing, estimating and quantity take-offs
• Maintain project files, reports, meeting minutes and other construction documentation
• Support site health and safety requirements
• Assist with deficiencies, warranties, maintenance manuals and project closeout
• Provide general support to the project team throughout construction

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Project Coordinator on concrete high-rise construction projects
• Experience working on a 10+ storey concrete tower is required
• Multi-family residential tower experience is strongly preferred
• A couple of years of relevant Project Coordinator experience is ideal
• Strong understanding of concrete tower construction processes and sequencing
• Experience working through a significant portion of a typical tower build is preferred
• Experience with RFIs, shop drawings, change orders, costing and subcontractor coordination
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schedules and specifications
• Strong understanding of construction documentation and contract administration
• Excellent organizational, communication and time-management skills
• Procore experience is strongly preferred
• Experience with MS Project and Google Workspace is an asset
• Motivated to develop toward a Project Manager position over the longer term
