Position Summary:
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Oil Heating Technician/Oil Burner Mechanic will be responsible for safely completing service, maintenance and installations for oil heating equipment. This is a temporary Seasonal role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install oil burner components such as nozzles and fuel pumps
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning oil equipment, their components and controls
- Replace oil tank accessories such as tank gauges, fill pipes, oil line and deaerators.
- Perform scheduled maintenance service on oil heating equipment
- Test installed units and adjust controls for proper functioning;
- Administrative duties such as ordering parts, completion of work orders and invoicing, and assisting with shop related duties
- Other duties as required
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of Class 5A license with a clean drivers abstract
- Red Seal Oil Heat Systems Technician license
- Knowledge of CSA B 139 Oil Codes
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven leadership ability
- This position is a safety sensitive and will require pre-employment testing
- Flexible working hours including overtime is required
