Job description

POSITION: Receptionist

JOB TYPE: Full Time

LOCATION: Grande Prairie, Alberta

SALARY/WAGE: $22.00-$28.00/hour

CLOSING DATE: September 14, 2026 or until suitable candidate is found

JOB SUMMARY:
The Agency is assisting a local Accounting firm in the confidential recruitment of a full-time Receptionist.

The successful candidate will represent the firm in a pleasant, professional manner while providing exceptional client service and completing a variety of reception and administrative responsibilities. This role is well suited to an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented professional who takes pride in creating a welcoming client experience and handling confidential information with discretion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Welcome clients and provide a professional first point of contact
  • Answer and direct incoming calls and inquiries
  • Coordinate client appointments and scheduling
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, couriers, and correspondence
  • Receive, organize, and track client files and documentation
  • Support electronic file and bookkeeping backup processes
  • Maintain accurate client records and database information
  • Monitor and order office supplies as needed
  • Provide general administrative support to the team
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality of client and firm information
  • Assist with other office duties as required

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of related reception or administrative experience, or equivalent post-secondary education
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Professional and friendly telephone manner
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Comfortable working with electronic files and digital records
  • Dependable, efficient, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential information
