Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Drupal Developer to support a website upgrade project to Drupal 11

Join a multi-year City Services Hub initiative focused on improving how residents access information and services across web and phone channels. This role supports the upgrade of a municipal website to Drupal 11, including platform upgrades, custom module rebuilding, content migration, theming, accessibility, and deployment processes. The project is already underway with a targeted go-live before year end and includes close collaboration with an internal technical team.

Initial contract until the end of the year- remote working PST.

Must Haves

• 7+ years delivering Drupal development and upgrade projects
• Drupal 11 upgrades including Drupal core, contributed modules, and custom code remediation
• Custom module development across major Drupal version upgrades
• Drupal layout builder, theming, and mobile-first CSS implementation

Nice to Have

• Content migration across high-volume web page environments
• Web form rebuilding and migration
• Accessibility support aligned to WCAG 2.2 AA
• Drupal 11 deployment environments on Azure using Lando
• Jira-based project delivery workflows

Responsibilities

• Upgrade Drupal core and the underlying platform to Drupal 11
• Assess contributed modules and custom code for remediation, replacement, or retirement
• Rebuild custom modules for the upgraded platform
• Support environment strategy across development, test, staging, and production
• Execute content migration across approximately pages
• Rebuild approximately web forms
• Implement theming, accessibility, security hardening, and performance baseline work
