Pay rate : $68,000 - $80,000 / year, depending on experience

Duties and Responsibilities :

Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking and presentation

Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards

Supervise staff, providing guidance and support as needed, manage staff based on business volume, oversee staff scheduling

Collaborate with management to develop menus and presentation

Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary

Oversee food and labour costs, adhering to budgets and ensuring invoice entry

Maintain cost-effective kitchen operations while delivering quality dishes

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly

Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications :

Culinary school accreditation or Red Seal Certificate

Up to five years’ of demonstrated experience managing a restaurant and employees

Food Safe Certification, and strong understanding of food safety practices

Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management and culinary trends

Excellent leadership skills, and ability to motivate and inspire a team of servers

Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality service

Demonstrate accountability by exercising sound judgment and holding oneself and others responsible

Vehicle and clear criminal check

Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
