What we are hiring for:We are currently hiring a contract full-time Direct Support Professional for our Community Connections program in Lambton County, Ontario. Direct Support Professionals make a difference in people's lives by:Providing support to people with developmental disabilities in their homes and the communityTeaching and assisting with daily supports (ex. assistance with meal preparation, personal hygiene, medication administration, appointments, housekeeping responsibilities and money management)Facilitating opportunities for individual skill development, independence, personal growth, cultivating relationships in their community and leisure activities as directed by the person What you will need:Valid "G or G2" class license and reliable vehicleBe willing to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Police CheckBe legally entitled to work in CanadaCurrent certification in First Aid/CPR requiredCurrent certification in NVCPI or willing to obtainExperience working with people with developmental disabilities is an asset Compensation and scheduling:$23.59 - $24.28 per hour based on experienceContract Full-Time - 40 hours per week What we offer:Group Pension Plan with Employer Contribution MatchingEmployee Assistance ProgramCorporate Retail and Mobility DiscountsTraining and Development Opportunities Application Deadline: September 4, 2026 @ 4:00 pm About LCDS:Lambton County Developmental Services started back in 1955 when a group of parents whose children with developmental disabilities came together while dreaming of a life without limitation for their loved ones.
