What You'll Be Doing: As a Receptionist at Carmen’s Event Centre, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, creating a warm and professional welcome from the moment they arrive.

In this fast-paced hospitality environment, you’ll provide exceptional service while supporting daily venue administration and sales coordination.

Your Responsibilities Will Include: Respond to phone, email, website, and in-person inquiries in a timely, friendly, and professional manner Assist with event details, client concerns, catering inquiries, and directing requests to the appropriate team member Welcome clients and visitors, directing them to the appropriate area or person Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area and foyer Organize and maintain client files, records, and event documentation to ensure information is current and complete Receive and record client payments, and collect and distribute company mail Monitor office supply inventory and assist with purchase orders and vendor relationships Update client information and communications in Event Temple Assist with booking and confirming sales appointments and preparing client personal items for events Support the venue team with other administrative and event-related duties as assigned Position Requirements: Diploma in Office Administration or equivalent work experience is an asset One to two years of customer service experience is required Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience with Event Temple and handling payments is an asset Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills with close attention to detail A positive, professional approach and the ability to represent the organization well Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team Flexible availability to work 9:00am-5:00pm during the week and on weekends We are Carmens Group—a proud Hamilton-born hospitality company with a mission to create extraordinary memories.
