MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for a Project Coordinator on behalf of a well-established real estate development and construction company.
This is a full-time, one-year maternity-leave contract starting ASAP, with strong potential to become permanent. Based in Surrey, this role offers the opportunity to support a growing pipeline of multi-phase wood-frame townhome projects throughout the Lower Mainland.
Reporting to the Construction Manager and VP of Construction, the Construction Coordinator will work closely with site teams, trades, consultants, sales, and internal departments to support projects from pre-construction through to occupancy and closeout.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate tender packages, bid invitations, bid levelling, LOIs, and contract tracking
- Support project start-up, including contact lists, utility coordination, upgrade pricing, and project documentation
- Manage RFIs, site instructions, change orders, shop drawings, meeting minutes, and document control
- Maintain construction schedules and project trackers, identifying risks to key milestones
- Coordinate with trades, consultants, construction teams, sales, and project administration
- Support occupancy planning, signage, parking/storage allocations, and closeout requirements
- Maintain current drawings and filing systems within project-management software
Requirements:
- Previous Construction Coordinator or Project Coordinator experience with a developer-builder or residential GC
- Townhome, wood-frame, and multi-phase project experience strongly preferred
- Strong organization, communication, follow-up, and document-control skills
- Experience with tendering, RFIs, change orders, schedules, and closeout documentation
- Familiarity with Smartsheet, ProjectSight, Spectrum, or similar software is an asset
- Ability to work full-time from the South Surrey office and visit project sites as needed
