Your Role and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:Assist in the improvement & development of management system procedures and forms, in line with applicable standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001)Create training materials in support of new proceduresParticipate in the development of reports, statistics and data analysisPerform incident Investigations, and implement corrective actionsParticipates in the maintenance of site records and filing systemsPerforms Physical Demands Descriptions Participates in the Joint Health and Safety CommitteesCoordinate meetings (prepare agendas, take minutes, track actions) Participate in safety audits Assist in performing industrial hygiene testingAssist with WSIB claims management and return to work planningSkills/ Capabilities:Customer FocusTeam WorkQuality OrientationAttention to detailAccountability and DependabilityEthics and IntegrityStrong writing and verbal communication skillsGood judgement and problem solvingExcellent numeracy Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasksKey Requirements: University or college degree related to Occupational Health and Safety1-3 years working in the health and safety field, preferably manufacturing environmentAdditional Technical and Professional Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational planning, teamwork and demonstrated presentations skillsProficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPointKnowledge of ergonomic principles and ability to apply principles in a wide range of work environments.Excellent knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and WSIB RegulationsExperience in industrial ergonomic assessmentsExperience conducting Physical Demands Analysis (PDAs)Access to a vehicle to travel to all Marwood plantsAbility to work independently, with minimum supervisionDemonstrates effective organizational, multitasking and problem solving abilities Marwood is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive company culture.
