August 31, 2028 (75% release time)Start Date: September 1, 2026Reporting to: Dean, AcademicsSalary:An annual stipend of $3,127.00, in accordance with BCGEU Faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement.Description:Under the direction of the Dean, the successful candidate will be responsible for educational leadership within the Arts and Sciences, and related, programs for all campuses. The Chair will have responsibility for maintaining excellence in the department and for taking appropriate, timely action to foster the highest possible standards of teaching, scholarship, service, and student advising. The Chair also provides focus and direction to ensure the quality of programs, with responsibilities for leading the department in matters of curriculum, planning, assessment, regulatory oversight, student affairs, and adherence to college policy.
