We are seeking an individual contributor to support the delivery of a defined portfolio of procurement projects during a period of elevated workload and workforce transition. The assignment is expected to run for up to six months and will focus on executing planned sourcing activities from procurement planning through contract award and implementation support. The role is based on a project delivery model and is intended to provide short-term surge capacity to our sourcing team. The assignment scope is aligned with procurement planning, competitive bidding, contract negotiation, and procurement advisory activities.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Leading procurement planning discussions with internal stakeholders to define business requirements, procurement strategies, timelines, and risk considerations.
Developing and facilitating competitive procurement processes including RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and related solicitation documents.
Managing end-to-end sourcing events through our electronic procurement platform (Euna Procurement, formerly known as Bonfire), including supplier communications, addenda, evaluation support, and award recommendations.
Providing procurement advice and guidance to client departments throughout the procurement lifecycle.
Supporting commercial negotiations and development of contract documentation.
Ensuring compliance with applicable public procurement legislation, trade agreement obligations, institutional policies, and procurement best practices.
Preparing procurement records, recommendations, and supporting documentation required to complete procurement projects.
Assisting with transition and implementation activities following contract award.


Qualifications
Significant experience leading public-sector procurement projects from planning through contract award.
Strong RFx drafting, facilitation, and evaluation management experience.
Demonstrated negotiation and contract development skills.
Knowledge of Canadian public procurement legislation and trade agreements.
Experience working within post-secondary education, government, healthcare, municipal, or broader public-sector environments.
Experience using electronic sourcing and procurement systems.
