Pay Rate: CAD Monday–Friday, 8: AM–5: PM
About the Role
Our client is seeking a Cycle Count Associate to join their warehouse team in Milton. This role is responsible for maintaining and improving inventory accuracy through systematic cycle counting, inventory verification, discrepancy investigation, and warehouse location management.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Canadian Warehouse Manager, Parts & Whole Goods Lead, and Shipping & Receiving teams to ensure inventory records accurately reflect physical inventory and to support overall warehouse efficiency and customer service levels.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Accuracy & Cycle Counting
- Perform daily cycle counts in designated warehouse zones according to established schedules.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, lot numbers, serial numbers, and storage locations against WMS records.
- Investigate and document shortages, overages, misplaced inventory, and incorrect item locations.
- Identify and report damaged, obsolete, or non-conforming inventory.
- Perform recounts and inventory audits as required.
- Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled in the WMS.
Warehouse Organization & Location Management
- Consolidate inventory and optimize storage locations to maximize warehouse space.
- Verify proper labeling, barcode readability, signage, and inventory identification.
- Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready warehouse locations following 5S principles.
- Return inventory to the correct locations following count verification.
- Assist with inventory relocations and slotting initiatives.
Inventory Reconciliation & Problem Resolution
- Investigate inventory variances and identify root causes.
- Document and communicate discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager and Parts team.
- Support corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy and reduce recurring variances.
- Investigate unassigned inventory, add-on items, and misplaced products.
- Assist with inventory reconciliation and adjustments according to company procedures.
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
- Support inventory control initiatives focused on accuracy and process efficiency.
- Follow all company safety policies, operational procedures, and inventory control standards.
- Ensure compliance with established counting methods and audit procedures.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and annual inventory audits.
Systems & Documentation
- Use WMS, PDA scanners, Microsoft Excel, and inventory reporting tools.
- Maintain accurate cycle count records, discrepancy reports, and corrective actions.
- Generate and review inventory reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure inventory documentation is complete, accurate, and audit compliant.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, cycle counting, or coordination preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is an asset.
- Experience with WMS, ERP systems, or inventory software preferred.
- Forklift certification for reach, order picker, and counterbalance is an asset, or ability to become certified.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inventory discrepancies.
- Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and carry up to lbs.
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, climb, and reach throughout the shift.
