Job description

Adecco is currently hiring an Inventory Technician for a full-time temporary opportunity in Edmonton, AB. This role is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented professional with strong data entry, inventory control, and record-keeping skills who can help ensure materials and parts are accurately tracked and readily available for maintenance operations.
In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, processing incoming and outgoing parts, monitoring stock levels, supporting material documentation, and ensuring inventory and storage areas remain organized and compliant with established procedures.

  • Pay Rate: $19.69 per hour
  • Location: Edmonton, AB
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Employment Type: Full-Time | Temporary

Responsibilities

  • Enter data into the inventory database for quantities of parts issued and transferred from the maintenance shop.
  • Process inventory and cycle count adjustments accurately in the computer database.
  • Enter incoming parts into the parts room database and adjust inventory quantities as required.
  • Record and monitor inventory items daily and notify appropriate personnel when materials are received or need to be ordered.
  • Initiate purchase requisitions to maintain appropriate inventory levels of required materials.
  • Locate issued items on the platform and notify appropriate supervisors of their arrival and location.
  • Ensure materials and parts are correctly identified and properly documented.
  • Off-load incoming parts and materials and move them to appropriate storage areas.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe conditions in all material storage areas.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of material certifications and supporting documentation associated with specific job packages.
  • Ensure required documentation is available so scheduled work can proceed on time.
  • Verify incoming materials against delivery invoices and report discrepancies so appropriate adjustments can be made.
  • Receive and issue store items while maintaining properly documented inventory records.
  • Conduct inventories of company plant and equipment according to established company requirements and procedures.
  • Follow all company health and safety rules, regulations, and established procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Previous experience in inventory control, parts, warehousing, materials management, or a related environment is considered an asset.
  • Strong data entry and computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate inventory records, logs, and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to monitor inventory levels and identify discrepancies.
  • Comfortable working with parts, materials, and inventory databases.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with maintenance, inventory, and operational teams.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Ability to follow established company procedures and safety requirements.
