Production Associate

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Associate to join our optical production team. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced production environment and be responsible for processing, preparing, assembling, and inspecting optical products. Previous optical or edge-and-mount experience is not required; strong production or general labour experience will be considered.

Duties

• Receive, sort, and process lenses and frames.
• Read and follow work tickets, prescriptions, and production instructions.
• Route orders to the appropriate workstation.
• Perform tracing, blocking, edging, mounting, and specialty orders as required.
• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
• Operate production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow established procedures and quality control standards.
• Work effectively as part of a team in a production environment.
• Perform other related production duties as required.

Experience & Qualifications

• Previous production, manufacturing, warehouse, or general labour experience is an asset.
• Optical edge-and-mount experience is not required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow written instructions and work tickets.
• Comfortable working in a repetitive, hands-on production environment.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to learn new processes and equipment.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn optical production processes.
