Job description

About Myant Health At Myant Health , we are defining the Internet of Humans, a new generation of healthcare technology that connects people, AI, and machines through the power of textile computing .

Our vision is to transform everyday textiles into intelligent, connected interfaces that can sense, understand, and ultimately respond to the human body.

At the centre of this vision is HumanOS , our platform for creating a personal health digital twin and bringing together information from textile-based sensors, medical devices, wearables, and other connected technologies.

By combining multimodal sensing, biometrics, AI, and clinical intelligence, we are building a more connected and continuous approach to understanding health.

Our SKIIN™ technology turns everyday clothing into a sophisticated health interface, designed to feel like normal clothing while capturing meaningful, clinical-grade health information.

Our technology is being applied across major areas of health, including cardiovascular disease, sleep, hypertension, diabetes, musculoskeletal health, and other chronic conditions.

Our immediate focus is delivering a new standard of care through objective measurement, beginning with accessible diagnostic solutions such as 14-day cardiac monitoring, home sleep apnea testing, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. But our ambition goes beyond diagnostics.

We are building toward a future where everyday textiles can become continuous diagnostic and therapeutic interfaces, helping individuals, families, and healthcare professionals understand health earlier, manage it more proactively, and intervene when it matters most.

At Myant Health, you will have the opportunity to work at the intersection of textile computing, AI, software, hardware, biometrics, clinical science, and healthcare to help build technology that could fundamentally change how people experience and manage their health. This is not simply a wearable technology company.

We are building the infrastructure for a more connected human health ecosystem.

Role Overview: Myant Health is seeking an R&D Electrical Engineer to help design and develop the next generation of connected, textile-enabled medical and health technologies. You will own PCB and analog electrical design for wearable biosignal recording and stimulation products, taking designs from component selection and schematic capture through PCB layout, fabrication, board bring-up, debugging, verification, and integration into complete products.

This is a hands-on engineering role at the intersection of analog and mixed-signal electronics, biosignal acquisition, embedded systems, wireless connectivity, textile computing, and medical devices.

You will design highly miniaturized, battery-powered electronics that must perform reliably in close proximity to the human body, sensitive analog signals, textile interfaces, and wireless radios.

An immediate project involves a wearable electrical-stimulation device, introducing high-voltage design requirements alongside the low-noise analog and low-power constraints typical of wearable medical electronics.

You will have the opportunity to work across the full electrical stack, from power architecture and analog front ends to PCB design, embedded bring-up, test automation, and system integration.

Firmware is a secondary but meaningful component of the role.

You will write bring-up code and scripted tests that demonstrate and validate hardware functionality, working closely with the firmware team and using modern development tools, including LLM-assisted development tools, while continuing to develop your embedded skills.

PCB design workload will be cyclical in a product-development environment.

Between major design cycles, you will contribute to design verification, test fixtures, prototype assembly, laboratory debugging, documentation, compliance activities, and integration support for mechanical, textile, firmware, and systems engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities: Electrical & PCB Design Design analog and mixed-signal circuits for biosignal recording and stimulation applications.

Develop schematics and high-density PCB layouts using Altium Designer.

Select and source components including SoCs, analog front ends, power-management ICs, sensors, and supporting components.

Apply semiconductor reference designs, datasheets, and application notes appropriately, recognizing when deviations are justified and when they introduce unnecessary risk.

Develop multilayer boards with attention to signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, shielding, thermal considerations, and manufacturability.

Design for miniaturized wearable form factors, including fine-pitch BGA/WLCSP and 0201 components where appropriate.

Analog, Power & Signal Integrity Design and debug low-noise analog signal paths for biosignal acquisition.

Develop filtering, grounding, shielding, and noise-control strategies that achieve defined signal-quality targets.

Design power-tree architectures and perform quiescent-current and power-budget analysis against battery-life requirements.

Design and debug switching power supplies, including buck, boost, and flyback architectures.

Design RF interfaces with appropriate antenna keep-outs, controlled-impedance routing, and matching networks based on vendor recommendations.

Develop and characterize unconventional power and data transmission approaches over minimal textile conductors, including bias-tee architectures, injector/extractor networks, and filtering between power and signal paths.

High-Voltage & Stimulation Electronics Contribute to the design of high-voltage circuitry for body-worn electrical-stimulation applications.

Apply appropriate creepage, clearance, isolation, grounding, and layout practices when integrating high-voltage circuitry with sensitive analog electronics.

Support electrical-stimulation output-stage design, including H-bridge architectures, charge balancing, and patient-safety considerations.

Work within applicable medical-device safety requirements, including relevant portions of the IEC 60601 family of standards.

Bring-Up, Firmware & Testing Perform board bring-up, including soldering, rework, instrumentation, debugging, and hardware troubleshooting.

Write initial embedded C firmware required to bring up and validate new hardware.

Develop scripted hardware tests and test automation in collaboration with the firmware team.

Use laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, electronic loads, and spectrum-analysis tools.

Validate designs through simulation, bench testing, rapid prototyping, and structured design verification.

Diagnose hardware/software interaction issues and work collaboratively across engineering disciplines to resolve them.

Product Development & Manufacturing Prepare electrical design, manufacturing, assembly, and test documentation.

Drive PCB designs through fabrication and assembly with contract manufacturers.

Participate in design reviews and communicate technical decisions clearly to engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.

Build test fixtures and prototype assemblies to support product development and verification.

Support compliance and verification activities, including applicable IEC and IPC requirements.

Support mechanical, textile, firmware, and systems teams with electrical integration and prototype development.

Contribute to continuous improvement of electrical design processes, documentation, testing, and engineering practices.

Qualifications: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3+ years of experience designing and shipping PCBs, with strong analog/mixed-signal experience.

Experience with battery-powered products is strongly preferred.
