Live-In Nanny / Au Pair for Active Family in Cowichan Valley We are seeking a warm, reliable, and energetic live-in nanny to assist with our two children (ages 4 and 5). We live in a beautiful outdoor-focused area under an hour from both Victoria and Nanaimo. Schedule & Family Overview: Hours: Guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week with weekends off. Work Dynamics: Mom is an emergency medicine physician (schedules are set months in advance); Dad travels for work during the week. Overnights: Occasional overnight coverage required when Mom works night shifts (flat rate applied for sleeping hours; regular rate if actively up with the kids). Primary Duties: Driving kids to/from school, preschool, and local activities. Preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children. Light housekeeping and laundry related to the kids. Feeding and occasional short walks for our friendly dog. Accommodations & Pay: Private Living Space: Dedicated private bedroom, private bathroom, and second kitchen/living area in our finished basement. Pay: $20.00/hour (negotiable with experience), minus allowable room and board deductions where applicable. Requirements: Valid driver's license with a clean record. First Aid / CPR certification & clear background check. Active, outdoor-loving, and comfortable around dogs.
