Financial Analyst

About Our Client

Our client is hiring a Financial Analyst for a six-month contract.

About the Opportunity

· Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

· Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.

· Analyze financial results, identify variances, and prepare management reporting.

· Support annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash-flow reporting.

· Maintain general ledger accuracy and investigate account discrepancies.

· Assist with financial statements and internal/external audit requests.

· Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and expense accounting as needed.

· Develop financial models, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis for leadership.

· Help document and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

· Partner with operational teams to provide financial guidance and ensure accurate reporting.

About You

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· 2–5 years of experience in corporate accounting, financial analysis, or public accounting.

· CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred.

· Strong understanding of GAAP / IFRS and general accounting principles.

· Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is an asset.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

· Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
