Nanny Wanted - Family Assistant / Household Helper With Childcare Experience $28 Per Hour

We are looking for a reliable, warm and proactive family assistant to help our family approximately 20 hours per week, primarily in the afternoons and early evenings. For now, I am at home with our baby and will generally be taking care of her myself. The main focus of the position will therefore be helping with the household so that I can spend more time with my baby. Responsibilities would include: Meal preparation and cooking Dishes and keeping the kitchen clean Laundry, folding and putting clothes away Tidying and organizing the home Vacuuming and mopping Cleaning bathrooms and other household areas Occasional deeper cleaning, such as the refrigerator, appliances, cabinets, baseboards, etc. Helping with other day-to-day household tasks as needed Occasional childcare when I need a break, have an appointment or need to get something done. In a few months, I will be returning to work and our baby will be starting daycare. At that point, the position may evolve to include more childcare in the afternoons and evenings, while continuing to help with cooking and household tasks. We are therefore looking for someone who genuinely enjoys a flexible family-assistant role, rather than someone looking exclusively for a traditional nanny position. The ideal person would be: Comfortable with both household work and childcare Experienced and comfortable with babies Comfortable with cleaning, including occasional deep cleaning Able to cook or confidently follow recipes Proactive and able to notice what needs to be done without always needing detailed instructions Reliable, organized and trustworthy Interested in developing a longer-term relationship with our family Comfortable with the role changing somewhat as our family's needs evolve We would initially like to establish a routine together while I am still at home, with the goal of already having someone we know and trust by the time I return to work. Ideally, I’m looking for someone who can stay with our family longer term and be flexible between household help and childcare depending on what we need. The position is part-time, with flexible hours, offering a competitive hourly rate of $28.
