Job description

Our client is seeking a driven and analytical Senior Buyer to join their team. If you're a self-starter with a curious mindset and a passion for building strong supplier relationships, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to take ownership and contribute to a growing company. This role offers the chance to expand your expertise in a complex product environment, leverage data for strategic purchasing, and become a key player in a supportive, family-like office culture.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage supplier relationships and product categories within an agricultural sourcing environment.
  • Coordinate product preparation and related supplier services as required.
  • Monitor inventory requirements, quantities, and delivery timelines to support business needs.
  • Coordinate import documentation and customs requirements for internationally sourced products.
  • Forecast future purchasing requirements and proactively plan procurement activities.
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers while maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Use ERP and business intelligence tools to analyze purchasing data and identify requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate purchase orders and validate supplier pricing and invoicing details.


Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of purchasing, sourcing, supplier management, contracts, and inventory planning in complex, multi-SKU environments.
  • Familiarity with customs processes is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central and Power BI.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative professional with strong interpersonal skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to take ownership and initiative.
  • Analytical and curious mindset, with strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
