Digital Marketing Specialist - Regional Law Firm

Vortex Stratégie et recrutement is currently seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist for its client, a well-established regional law firm located in downtown Montreal.

Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and Business Development, the Digital Marketing Specialist contributes to increasing the firm’s visibility and showcasing its expertise across its various digital platforms. The Specialist is responsible for creating, coordinating, publishing and optimizing content tailored to the firm’s audiences, while ensuring brand consistency and high-quality communications. The Specialist works closely with the Client Experience, Marketing and Events Ambassador to ensure continuity between the experience at the firm, its events and how they are showcased through digital communications.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Content and Social Media

• Participate in planning the editorial calendar and ensure timelines and deadlines are met.

• Write, adapt, review and publish content for social media, the website, newsletters and the firm’s other digital platforms.

• Showcase firm news, member achievements, publications, conferences, events and internal initiatives.

• Create simple visuals and, as needed, coordinate the production of graphic, photo or video content with internal or external resources.

• Monitor digital trends, practices among comparable firms and relevant content opportunities.

Website, Newsletters and Campaigns

• Update website content, including profiles, news, events, publications and practice area pages.

• Prepare and distribute newsletters and electronic communications, and perform the required quality checks prior to distribution.

• Support the execution of digital campaigns aligned with marketing and business development priorities.

• Ensure content accuracy, brand consistency, linguistic quality and compliance of communications.

• Contribute to improving search engine optimization (SEO) and content discoverability.

Performance Measurement

• Track the performance of posts, campaigns, newsletters and the website using available tools.

• Prepare straightforward performance reports and provide practical recommendations to improve content reach, engagement and performance.

Collaboration with the Ambassador

• Maintain the marketing team’s lists, tracking tools, content libraries and working documents.

• Gather information, photos and highlights related to events, internal activities and the client experience, and turn them into digital content.

• Coordinate event promotion before events take place and showcase them through communications afterward.

• Support the preparation of promotional materials and communications for guests, clients and firm members.

• Contribute to various marketing and event-related projects based on the team’s priorities.

Requirements

• Experience in a professional services firm, law firm or other demanding environment.

• College diploma in marketing, communications, digital media or a related field.

• 4 years of relevant experience in digital marketing, communications or content management.

• Excellent command of French, both spoken and written, and a strong ability to work in English.

• Proficiency with major social media platforms, newsletter distribution tools and web content management systems.

• Knowledge of visual content creation tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

• Knowledge of SEO principles, web analytics and email marketing is considered an asset.

• Excellent writing skills and strong attention to quality.

• Creativity, curiosity and a good aesthetic sense.

• Thoroughness, autonomy and the ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.

• Sound judgment, discretion and a strong sense of priorities.
