About The Job: We are hiring a babysitter living in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Our aim is to connect with a caring, kind individual who has availability to watch our three boys (4 year old, 3 year old, and 1 year old) on an occasional basis. The confidence, knowledge, and skills required to safely care for 2 toddlers and an infant simultaneously are essential. A babysitting arrangement could include a pre-planned monthly date/time as well as ad hoc child care for special occasions and other events. The position would ideally start in September 2026, depending on candidate availability, and continue throughout the year. Wage is negotiable depending on experience and agreement made with the chosen candidate. Service Requirements: Our family is in need of childcare, on occasion, on the weekends during the morning, afternoon, or evening (this would be scheduled in advance with the babysitter) and sometimes weekday evenings. Shifts would likely range from 2hours to 6 hours; late evenings would be rare and only on weekends. Childcare would take place in our clean, modern home in a safe, quiet neighbourhood. You would provide healthy snacks and sometimes feed a full meal to the kids, engage in play based learning, and offer activities such as crafts or other educational activities, helping them with tidying up toys etc; screen time is to be limited. Going through the kids bedtime routine, such as brushing teeth, getting them into pyjamas, and tucking them into bed may be needed. Letting our small dog outside would be helpful too. Our top candidate would be CPR certified/have first aid training. They will have a current criminal record check and have their drivers license along with their own reliable transportation. Minimum age sought is 18 years old and must have prior experience caring for children. Comfort in speaking and or reading in French would be a bonus but is not required.
