Our energy & resources client is seeking a Intermediate Payroll Administrator to support full-cycle payroll administration using Workday Payroll and Workday Time Tracking
Candidates will be working in-office in downtown Calgary 4 days/week, and 1 day WFH. 37.5 hour work week
Must Haves
4+ years of experience as a Payroll Administrator with hands-on experience in Workday Payroll and Workday Time Tracking
Experience in full-cycle payroll administration including gross-to-net processing and payroll journals
Experience with Payroll discrepancy resolution, timesheet administration, and payroll adjustments
Candidates must have Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation through the National Payroll Institute or equivalent
Strong Nice to Have
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Basic understanding of payroll accounting principles
Interest and aptitude in utilizing digital tools to support payroll operations
Experience supporting Employee Self-Service (ESS) and Manager Self-Service (MSS) functionality
Responsibilities
Assist in administering the full payroll cycle including gross-to-net calculations, employee payments, payroll journals, and final payroll processing
Calculate and prepare payroll worksheets for hires, terminations, leaves, payroll adjustments, and employee transactions
Identify and resolve discrepancies in payroll and timesheet records
Assist with timecard entry, review, and labour charge-out requirements
Monitor HR Audit Reports and administer employee changes, timecard updates, and schedule adjustments
Maintain payroll documentation and records supporting audit and compliance requirements
Respond to payroll information requests while ensuring compliance with Canadian privacy legislation and company policies
