Maintenance Planner for our client in
Lethbridge, AB . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance planning professional with strong SAP expertise and a background in industrial maintenance environments.
You will be responsible for planning and coordinating preventive maintenance activities, managing maintenance-related inventory, maintaining SAP master data, and supporting maintenance operations to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime. You will work closely with maintenance staff, production teams, contractors, and suppliers to support a safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance program.
- Pay Rate: $27.98/hour
- Location: Lethbridge, AB
- Shift: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)

Responsibilities:Maintenance Planning & Scheduling- Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance activities for maintenance personnel and contractors
- Schedule maintenance work orders to minimize equipment downtime and maximize operational efficiency
- Assist in the implementation of maintenance programs that support safety, quality, and budget objectives
- Coordinate maintenance timelines and resources to meet production requirements
SAP Administration- Maintain SAP master data and ensure records are accurate and up to date
- Manage work orders, time confirmations, costing information, and maintenance documentation
- Close work orders and ensure completed records are properly entered and archived
- Serve as a SAP PM key user and provide system support and training as required
Inventory & Storeroom Management- Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock quantities
- Coordinate ordering of maintenance parts and materials
- Receive inventory into stores and maintain storeroom organization
- Conduct monthly inventory audits to meet corporate and regulatory requirements
- Ensure the parts inventory remains audit-ready at all times
Contractor & Vendor Coordination- Obtain quotations from contractors and suppliers for repairs, services, and non-stock materials
- Coordinate contractor activities and support maintenance project execution
- Manage timelines for critical parts and services required for planned maintenance work
Continuous Improvement & Compliance- Support KPI achievement through proactive planning and reduced equipment downtime
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance and reliability
- Assist with Responsible Care, corporate compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Support maintenance budgeting and cost estimation activities
Qualifications and Skills:- Journeyperson Parts Technician certification or equivalent diploma required
- 3 to 5 years of maintenance planning experience within an industrial maintenance department or maintenance contracting environment
- Experience scheduling maintenance work and coordinating maintenance resources
- Strong experience working with SAP Work Orders, Costing, and Stores modules
- Advanced knowledge of SAP maintenance systems and inventory management processes
- Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience managing inventory, purchasing, and maintenance materials
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with maintenance teams, contractors, production personnel, and leadership
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Mechanical and electrical parts knowledge
- Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, processing, seed production, or industrial plant environments
- Understanding of preventive maintenance and reliability-centered maintenance practices
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
