UI/UX Designer with Figma & React

Salary: $57,070 - 118,520 per year

Requirements:

• Were looking for 2–3+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design or a hybrid design/front-end position.
• Strong Figma expertise is essential, including wireframing, high-fidelity screens, components, auto layout, prototyping, and developer handoff.
• Hands-on React experience is required, including building and styling components in a real codebase.
• Comfort with modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS is necessary.
• Practical experience with Material UI and/or Tailwind CSS is expected.
• Proven experience designing mobile-first and responsive interfaces is required.
• A portfolio demonstrating both process and polished outcomes is needed.
• Experience gathering requirements directly from business stakeholders and product owners is important.
• Solid knowledge of user-centered design principles and accessibility is required.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain design choices to non-designers are expected.

Responsibilities:

• We work directly with business stakeholders and the product owner to uncover requirements, define the problem, and shape vague ideas into actionable designs.
• We think through edge cases, error states, empty states, and user intent to create stronger product experiences.
• We map user flows, information architecture, and wireframes before moving into visual design.
• We create high-fidelity desktop and mobile screens in Figma, including redesigns of existing interfaces and new features.
• We build and maintain a component library and design system with clear specifications, states, spacing, and tokens that translate well into React.
• We produce interactive prototypes to validate flows with stakeholders before development begins.
• We design responsive layouts that perform well across phone and desktop screen sizes.
• We present design decisions, collect feedback, and refine solutions quickly.
• We maintain visual consistency across color, typography, iconography, and UI patterns, aligned with brand guidelines.
• We implement our designs in React when design work is between cycles.
• We build UI using Material UI and/or Tailwind CSS with reusable, consistent components.
• We integrate front-end components with REST APIs.
• We handle responsive behavior, mobile breakpoints, accessibility fundamentals, and cross-browser refinement.
• We collaborate with developers during implementation to ensure the delivered product matches the approved design.

We are a remote, full-time, permanent team working on an existing application that needs a mobile-focused refresh, along with a roadmap of new features. This role is a hybrid of design and front-end work, with roughly 60% dedicated to Figma-based product design and 40% to React implementation. We value someone who enjoys shipping practical, user-centered product work and partnering closely with stakeholders, product ownership, and development. Our compensation range is $57,070.09–$118,520.33 per year, and we offer dental care, extended health care, vision care, life insurance, disability insurance, paid time off, bonus pay, and work-from-home flexibility. The schedule is day shift, Monday to Friday, and we prefer a bachelors degree. We are looking for candidates who can share a resume and portfolio or case studies, especially examples where they both designed and helped build the interface.
