Role Overview
The Senior Project Manager will lead large, complex projects, strategic initiatives, and new product/service implementations, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, executive communication, risk management, resource planning, and vendor management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage large and complex projects from initiation through completion.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to approved scope.
• Track dependent projects and coordinate cross-functional activities.
• Act as Program Manager for interdependent projects when required.
• Maintain ongoing communication with project stakeholders through formal and informal channels.
• Facilitate project team meetings to discuss progress, risks, issues, assignments, and priorities.
• Coordinate technical, system, and process audits for client and internal engagements.
• Manage client-facing and executive communications.
• Prepare and deliver presentations related to project scope, timelines, risks, budget, and status.
• Support creation of Statements of Work (SOWs), proposals, contracts, estimates, requirements documentation, and technical audits.
• Work with external vendors and IT Vendor Management teams to establish governance and oversee delivery performance.
• Conduct and participate in post-project reviews.
• Mentor and coach Project Managers (PM1, PM2) and Project Coordinators (PCO).
• Ensure project reporting aligns with organizational standards and timelines.
• Create and submit Project Status Reports (PSRs) and provide executive status updates.
• Monitor project resource allocations, forecasts, budgets, and schedules.
• Identify project variances, risks, and resource constraints; recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain and update project resource plans to ensure delivery objectives are met.
• Collaborate with technical consultants and business stakeholders to document project objectives and implementation approaches.
• Assist with requirements gathering, scope definition, timeline development, and effort estimation.
Required Qualifications
• PMP or PRINCE2 Certification.
• 8-10 years of Project Management experience.
• Strong understanding of Project Management methodologies and best practices.
• Proven experience managing IT projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with budget management, forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing vendor relationships.
