Our public sector education client is seeking a Senior Strategic Analytics/Business Analyst Consultant (10+ years) to lead business analysis and solution assessment initiatives using SharePoint Online, records management, and enterprise data platforms
Join a complex enterprise transformation initiative focused on SharePoint Online, records management, data governance, and system decommissioning activities within a higher education environment. This role leads business analysis activities across enterprise projects involving information management, content modernization, and data initiatives while partnering with both business and technical stakeholders. The position offers exposure to enterprise-scale modernization and governance initiatives requiring deep analysis, documentation, and solution evaluation capabilities.
Contract until March 31st, , Vancouver, Hybrid Tuesday and Thursday and must be willing to come occasionally Wednesday, Working Hours: Must work based on team’s schedule hours (e.g. 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Pacific Time) with 1 hour lunch (7 hours working hours per day) and following the college holidays. If candidate is currently residing outside of BC, the role is remote with monthly travel to Vancouver.
Note: We prefer local candidate and we will only accept out of province candidates if the candidate meets all the ‘Must Have’ requirements and the candidate is able to come to the college the first week for the onboarding as well as once a month (3PM meeting day) at their own expense.
Must Haves
- 10+ years as a Business Systems Analyst or Senior Business Analyst within enterprise initiatives
- 8+ years supporting SharePoint Online implementations, migrations, or governance initiatives
- Business Process Analysis, Gap Analysis, Impact Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Requirements Traceability, and Solution Evaluation within Waterfall environments
- Experience with enterprise content management, records management, document management, or information governance projects
Nice to Have
- CBAP certification
- Experience with higher education business processes and systems
- Experience with Banner, Workday, SharePoint Online, or enterprise data platforms
- 8+ years supporting data management, reporting, analytics, or enterprise data initiatives
- Knowledge of records management legislation and privacy requirements
- Experience supporting enterprise content migration initiatives or regulated/public-sector environments
Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis activities throughout project lifecycles using Waterfall and hybrid project methodologies
- Conduct current-state and future-state assessments to identify business, process, information, and technology impacts
- Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, root cause analysis, stakeholder analysis, and business process analysis
- Analyze business requirements and recommend SharePoint Online solutions aligned with operational and governance requirements
- Support the design and implementation of SharePoint information architecture including metadata frameworks, content types, retention configurations, and permission models
- Develop and maintain BRDs, process maps, impact assessments, data mapping specifications, traceability matrices, and test scenarios
- Support records management, data governance, content migration, and system decommissioning initiatives
