Our transportation client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (Police Enhanced Security Clearance, 10+ years) to support the MVTP Body-worn Camera Pilot project using business analysis and process improvement
Join a large-scale transportation organization supporting the Metro Vancouver Transit Police Body-worn Camera Pilot project. This role focuses on business analysis services across current and future state analysis, fit-gap analysis, requirements gathering, and solution recommendations within technology projects. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders across operational and technology environments. The engagement is a 17-month contract with potential extension based on project and program requirements.
17 month Contract, Vancouver, Hybrid 2 days per week, Working Hours: 37.5 hours
Must Haves
- 10+ years of business analysis, process improvement, and technology project experience
- Functional requirements, technical requirements, fit-gap analysis, and future state analysis
- Microsoft Visio, SharePoint, and MS Office proficiency
- Police Enhanced Security Clearance eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree with formal training in business analysis and/or process improvement techniques
Nice to Have
- Experience in a policing environment or justice sector in a business analyst capacity
- Experience with digital evidence management and/or body-worn camera operations or projects
- CBAP or CCBA certification
- Experience with governmental memorandums of understanding
- Experience conducting technical feasibility studies and application road mapping
Responsibilities
- Facilitate discussions with subject matter experts to document current and future state processes and requirements
- Translate business requirements into solution requirements
- Collaborate with project teams, technical stakeholders, and business stakeholders to assess existing solutions
- Prepare fit-gap analyses and supporting documentation
- Develop recommendations for solutions that address business needs
- Review and validate analysis deliverables with stakeholders and obtain signoff
- Facilitate workshops, brainstorming sessions, and meetings
