Job Description
Join one of Western Canada's largest and most complex infrastructure projects, and play a role in delivering a critical wastewater treatment facility that will serve the North Shore community for generations. AECOM is actively seeking a self-motivated and organized Construction Quality Coordinator to join the North Shore Wastewater Treatment Plant project team. The successful candidate will work at the project office in North Vancouver until the end of 2029 and then transition to the AECOM Burnaby office at the end of the project.
Responsibilities include:
- Review quality records, inspection documentation, and construction activities to verify compliance with project specifications, codes, and contract requirements.
- Maintain and organize project quality records, inspection reports, and related documentation.
- Prepare monthly quality reports summarizing inspections, testing activities, NCR status, quality metrics, and trends.
- Analyze and report on construction quality key performance indicators (KPIs) and project quality trends.
- Lead and coordinate project QA/QC activities.
- Support discipline engineers and the project management team in the execution of quality management functions.
- Support quality verification activities through the review and interpretation of project drawings, specifications, standards, and quality requirements.
- Communicate quality concerns to responsible engineers and collaborate with the owner, contractors, and project team to investigate, resolve, and close non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or other Engineering discipline.
- 4+ Years of relevant construction coordination experience.
- Prior Construction Quality Coordination experience on a large industrial project.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Engineering (P.Eng) designation within Canada.
- 6+ years of construction quality experience, including QA/QC coordination.
- Experience on water/wastewater, industrial, process, or heavy civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience reviewing quality documentation, inspection records, and testing reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint and document control platforms E-Builder and Procore.
- Ability to exercise sound professional judgment and work independently.
- Experience developing and managing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Experience with turnover packages and commissioning documentation.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
