Job description
Job Title: Part-Time Cook & Housekeeper Needed in the West End (English Bay) Location: West End, Vancouver, BC (V6G) Schedule: Part-Time, 3 days a week (Fixed/Predictable routine) Hours: ~2.5 to 3 hours per shift (7.5 to 9 hours total per week) Hourly Rate: $35.00 – ... / hour (Depending on experience) ## About the Role We are looking for a reliable, experienced, and detail-oriented private cook and housekeeper to assist us 3 days a week at our home located just steps from English Bay in Vancouver's West End. This is a short-duration, high-efficiency micro-shift designed for someone living nearby or looking for a steady neighborhood routine. You will be responsible for preparing one fresh, home-cooked meal per shift using ingredients provided on-site, followed by kitchen cleanup and light household maintenance. ## Key Responsibilities * Cooking (Per Shift): Prepare one fresh, healthy meal per shift (lunch or dinner) tailored to standard dietary preferences, leaving the meal ready or portioned out. * Kitchen Maintenance: Wash cooking tools and dishes, load/unload the dishwasher, and wipe down counters, the stove, and sink areas. * Light Cleaning & Tidying: Maintain main living areas, handle light surface dusting, vacuum high-traffic floors, and manage apartment recycling/garbage disposal. * Laundry Support: Occasionally start, fold, or put away a quick load of household laundry during cooking simmer times. ## Requirements & Qualifications * Experience: Proven background in home cooking/meal prep and residential housekeeping. * Location Proximity: Must be local to downtown Vancouver or the West End for a prompt, reliable arrival. * Discretion & Reliability: Professional demeanor, excellent time management, and the ability to work independently in a condo/apartment setting. * References: Provide at least two recent, verifiable references for cleaning and cooking. ## How to Apply Please reply with a brief introduction outlining your cooking and housekeeping experience, your general availability for a 3-day fixed weekly schedule, and your local references. ------------------------------ Please visit https://canadiannanny.ca/jobs/join-our-vancouver-family-as-a-nanny-35-per-hour-for-caring-fun-and-engaging-childcare-canadian-job-bc to view full details and to apply.
