Description
:The Press Assistant position, or Press Helper, is an entry level position. The training is given in-house and allows the employee to become an apprentice and then operator for several type of machines.
Once in the company, several opportunities will be available based on the seniority and the success of the probationary periods and, of course, the interest of the person towards our different departments. Will you be the next operator in extrusion, slitting, press, lamination or any other service in the plant?
The duties of a Press Helper are as follows:
Vacant positions are distributed by seniority. A new employee will start on the night shift from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m, on a continental schedule (alternating between 36 hours and 48 hours per week).
The starting hourly rate offered is $22.90 in addition to a night shift premium of $1.35. Increases will be given after 6 months and 12 months before reaching the maximum hourly rate of $28.03 after 18 months.
