Job description
ACCOUNTING MANAGER- York, ON

(Retail Company)-$90K-100K

Reporting to the CFO, you will support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business analysis across multiple locations in the GTA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, dashboards, and performance analysis.
  • Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Analyze financial results, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide recommendations.
  • Monitor budget variances and support cost optimization initiatives.
  • Support year-end financial close and account reconciliations across multiple locations.
  • Process and review payroll, including remittances and year-end reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll, tax, GST/HST, and other government reporting requirements.
  • Support audits, inventory reviews, and internal controls.
  • Track project costs and evaluate financial performance of business initiatives.
  • Review credit card transactions and investigate financial discrepancies.
  • Assist with insurance administration, investment reporting, and other ad hoc financial projects.
  • Support and collaborate with the accounting team to improve processes and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain advanced Excel reports and financial tools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Experience with payroll processing and government remittances is an asset.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
