Changes made to hours of work will follow the terms of the applicable collective agreement, company policy and/or legislation.Type of Shifts: All shifts - Days, Nights, Weekends & HolidaysWHAT YOU’LL DO:The RPN provides client care in accordance with the Professional Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario. S/he, as a member of the health care team, has a significant role in promoting health, preventing illness, and helping clients attain and maintain the highest level of health possible in situations in which a client’s condition is relatively stable, less complex and the outcomes of care are predictableWHAT YOU’LL BRING:Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of OntarioCurrent BCLSRPN-Coronary Care Course required or willing to acquire within 6 monthsRelevant experience on a cardiac/telemetry unit required within the last 12 monthsWHO YOU ARE:Added Nursing Skills for RPN - Gastric feeding, catheterization, telemetry, suctioning, trach care, etcCVAD, IV meds and venipuncture experience preferredExcellent assessment skillsStrong verbal communication and written documentation skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with patients/families, staff and physiciansDemonstrated ability to work independently and as a team memberCPI would be an assetGlucometer testing certificationDemonstrated commitment to continuing educationDemonstrated good attendance record and ability to maintain sameDemonstrated punctualityBasic computer skills and knowledgeThis position is for a current vacancy.OUR COMMITMENT:At PRHC, we take great pride in maintaining an inclusive culture of respect and a diverse workforce that reflects the community we serve.
