About CCRW

The Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work (CCRW) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting meaningful and equitable employment opportunities for persons with disabilities. We work collaboratively with job seekers, employers, and community partners to create inclusive workplaces where everyone can thrive.

About the Role

The Career Talent Consultant plays a key role in building bridges between inclusive employers and talented job seekers with disabilities. This position combines relationship‑building, job development, and candidate support, with a focus on fostering long‑term, successful employment outcomes.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is proactive, relationship-focused, and committed to advancing equity, accessibility, and inclusion in the workplace.

This is a temporary full‑time opportunity covering an employee leave. While temporary in nature, the successful candidate may be considered for future permanent or other employment opportunities within the organization, subject to organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively reach out to employers through phone, email, and in‑person meetings (including cold calling) to develop meaningful job opportunities

Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, supporting inclusive hiring practices and long‑term employee retention

Conduct employer needs assessments to understand hiring priorities and workforce gaps

Work collaboratively with internal teams to support job seekers in accessing appropriate workplace accommodations and inclusive employment

Support job seekers through intake, employment planning, coaching, and identifying workplace accommodation needs

Deliver pre‑employment, job readiness, and workplace expectations training in both virtual and in‑person settings

Facilitate disability inclusion and accessibility workshops for employers

Provide ongoing follow‑up with both employers and job seekers to support successful placements and retention outcomes

Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, educational institutions, and referral networks

Support recruitment efforts by sourcing candidates and promoting opportunities through job postings and outreach

Maintain accurate participant and employer records in a CRM or client management system, and support reporting and program requirements

Qualifications & Experience

1–2 years of experience in sales, recruitment, or job development

Experience with employer outreach and relationship‑building, including cold calling

Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and follow through on commitments

Strong organizational skills, initiative, and accountability

Strong collaboration, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to partner with employers, job seekers, and community organizations to support employment outcomes

Knowledge of disability inclusion, workplace accommodations, and barriers to employment

Experience supporting return‑to‑work or employment services is considered an asset, particularly experience working with persons with disabilities

Relevant post‑secondary education (degree or diploma) preferred

Experience with CRM systems or client management databases

Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle

Work Environment

This is an in‑office position based at 125 Great George Street, Charlottetown, PE C1A 4K7, requiring the ability to provide in‑person support to job seekers.

Standard working hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Occasional work outside regular business hours may be required to support networking, outreach, and community engagement activities.

Frequent use of computers, virtual communication platforms, and telephone systems is required.

Regular local travel is necessary. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable access to a personal vehicle.

Compensation

Annual Salary: $57,000 – $61,000

In addition to the stated salary, employees in this role are eligible for a comprehensive compensation package that includes benefits and other applicable programs, in accordance with CCRW policies and eligibility requirements.
