About this roleWe are recruiting for a Project Manager to join our Project Delivery group in Burnaby.The Project Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the job. This includes estimating, project planning, labour management, procurement, billing, communications, and wrap up of each project.Become part of a team with a reputation for delivering excellence through collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. With over 80 years of experience in providing electrical and technology solutions, this is your opportunity to grow your career with an award-winning employer that wants to see you succeed.Here's how your role will strengthen our team.Your responsibilitiesWork with clients and identify potential business opportunitiesEstimate projects and submit tendersReview contracts for onerous clauses and conditionsMaintain good relationship with suppliers, consultants, general contractors and end usersManage project financials (including billing), purchasing, schedules and labourMitigate project risk, deficiencies and estimate changes as neededWork with internal stakeholders, field staff and customers, to ensure projects remain on track, on budget and meet expectationsBe present on jobsites as required and, upon project completion, review outcomes with the foreman and superintendent to discuss successes and challengesYour experience and skillsElectrical trade certificate, Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Technologist diploma/certificate3 years' experience in Electrical Project Management and/or EstimatingPrevious experience with estimating programs, specifically Accubid (Accubid Pro and Change Order) an assetGood computer skills including MS Office, Procore, AutoCAD, etc.Strong attention to detail and good organizational skillsStrong communication and team working skillsAbout HouleAs BC's leading electrical contractor and systems integrator, we believe in delivering safe, reliable power for the future.
