Itinerant Music Teacher

The successful candidate

will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch AND possesses one or more of the following : Training Specifications : Elementary Education with major / minor in musicRelated Teaching Experience : Recent successful experience as an Elementary Music TeacherA Reasonable Expectation : based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staffAdditional Qualifications : -Training / skill in the Kodaly method and / or the Orff approach to music instruction-Strong singing skillsOther : Own transportation for travel between schools is necessary. Mileage is reimbursed as per the CAThe starting annual salary for this full-time District Itinerant Music Teacher, Elementary Music (K-7), ranges from $59,394 to $106,217, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
