Working in the manufacturing & logistics field in Mississauga offers unparalleled opportunities for growth, given the city's status as a major supply chain hub. In this role, you will be the backbone of daily warehouse operations, ensuring that goods flow smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Your proficiency on the counterbalance, reach truck, and order picker will be put to excellent use as you navigate the warehouse floor, managing inventory and preparing orders for distribution. You will engage in a variety of tasks that keep the day interesting, from utilizing RF scanners and tablets for precise inventory tracking to performing manual case picking and pallet wrapping. The environment is fast-paced, requiring a proactive mindset and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe workspace for yourself and your colleagues.

This position operates on a convenient day shift, running from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, allowing for an excellent work-life balance. Starting at a competitive rate of $22.00 per hour, this role offers a clear and rewarding temp-to-perm pathway. For candidates who demonstrate reliability, safety, and a strong work ethic, there is a significant opportunity to be hired on permanently after completing the required probationary hours. Upon a successful transition to a permanent role, candidates are also eligible for a pay increase based on their performance, making this an ideal stepping stone for long-term career stability in the manufacturing & logistics sector. You will be expected to work independently while also supporting the broader goals of the warehouse team, utilizing your comprehensive forklift certifications to handle diverse materials.

Clear and effective communication is critical to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. For this role, proficiency in English is required to successfully comprehend safety protocols, follow detailed work instructions on RF scanners and tablets, communicate with team members, and complete daily operational logs safely and accurately.

Responsibilities
• Operating counterbalance, reach, and order picker forklifts safely and efficiently
• Unloading inbound containers and carefully loading outbound transport trucks
• Utilizing RF scanners and digital tablets to locate, track, and manage inventory
• Performing manual case picking tasks and accurately placing products onto skids
• Wrapping pallets securely to prepare them for safe transportation and shipping
• Navigating a busy multi-client facility while maintaining high efficiency
• Assisting with routine inventory counts and general warehouse maintenance
• Lifting and moving materials manually up to 30 lbs when required by the task

Qualifications
• Valid and current forklift certifications for counterbalance, reach, and order picker
• High proficiency in operating RF scanners and modern warehouse tablets
• Strong ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Exceptional focus on workplace safety and operational efficiency
• Excellent spatial awareness and precision in navigating narrow warehouse aisles
• Strong problem-solving skills to manage diverse inventory and order types
• Good physical stamina and manual dexterity for hybrid equipment/manual roles
• Solid time-management skills to ensure orders are picked and loaded on schedule
