Job description
My manufacturing client near Listowel, ON is seeking a very detail-oriented Controller. This is a crucial role for someone ready to ensure precise financial management and contribute to a company undergoing exciting transitions. If you thrive in a hands-on environment, are meticulous with numbers, and have a solid understanding of business operations, this opportunity is for you!

This role offers the chance to work closely with the CEO where you'll be instrumental in streamlining processes and establishing financial stability during a period of growth and adjustment.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of day-to-day financial operations, including AP, AR and general accounting tasks
  • Process payroll for approximately 60 employees bi-weekly
  • Prepare and report on monthly and quarterly financial performance
  • Ensure accuracy of all financial numbers and resolve discrepancies
  • Comprehend and manage job costing and project-based accounting across different business divisions (office, shop, road)
  • Utilize Sage accounting software for all financial processes

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a hands-on controller role for a similar size organization
  • Accuracy with numbers is paramount
  • Experience with job costing/project-based accounting is highly preferred
  • Ability to comprehend business aspects
  • Proficiency with Sage is an asset
