Job description

Who We Are :

Paras Properties Ltd. operates locally owned and managed McDonald's restaurants in six communities across Saskatchewan, including Saskatoon, Warman, Martensville, Prince Albert, Melfort, Humboldt, and Nipawin. The company is committed to being the preferred dining destination for Saskatchewan residents, offering quality food and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. By emphasizing excellence and community involvement, Paras Properties Ltd provides its employees with meaningful opportunities for growth and advancement.

We are more than just your local restaurant—we are a network of hardworking, community-minded

small-business owners dedicated to making a positive impact every day.

From coast to coast, McDonald’s Canada proudly serves more than 2.5 million guests daily across over

1,400 locations. Beyond our restaurants, we are deeply committed to giving back, having supported

over 387,000 Canadian families through Ronald McDonald House Charities.

When you join our team, you become part of a brand that values people, community, and growth just

as much as great food and service.

The Role :

As a Shift Manager, you play a critical leadership role in delivering an outstanding guest experience

while supporting and developing your team. You will be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant

operations during your shift, ensuring McDonald’s standards for quality, service, cleanliness, and safety

are consistently met.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, coaching, and motivating a team of Crew Members, fostering teamwork, accountability, and pride in performance
  • Creating a positive, high-energy work environment that supports engagement, development, and retention
  • Ensuring food safety, workplace safety, and cleanliness standards are followed at all times
  • Managing shift operations, including staffing, inventory, cash handling, and resolving guest concerns professionally and efficiently
  • Maintaining McDonald’s renowned cleanliness and sanitation practices throughout the restaurant
  • Leading by example, modeling McDonald’s values, policies, and operational standards
  • Supporting local initiatives and community events that strengthen our connection with the communities we serve.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in food service or retail, or hospitalty—such as a barista, server, cashier, sales associate, team leader, or supervisor.
  • Leads by example and holds yourself and others accountable
  • Sets high standards and consistently challenges yourself and your team to improve
  • Remains calm under pressure and approaches challenges with confidence and strong problem-solving skills
  • Communicates clearly, respectfully, and positively with both team members and guests
  • Puts people first, understanding that a strong, supportive culture leads to better performance and guest satisfaction
  • Takes pride in developing others and celebrating team success
  • Candidates should have strong leadership and communication skills.
  • A high school diploma is preferred, and the ability to work flexible hours is required.

Working with McDonald’s means more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to earn, learn, and grow in a supportive, flexible, and inclusive environment. In practice, this means we provide the following advantages:

  • Ongoing education and skills development, including leadership training and career advancement opportunities
  • A competitive total rewards package, featuring employee discounts, performance incentives, and recognition programs
  • A safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace that prioritizes physical safety and psychological well-being
  • An environment where you can bring your authentic self to work, welcoming team members and guests of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures
  • Flexible scheduling that supports work-life balance

  • Communique de manière claire, respectueuse et positive tant avec les membres de l’équipe qu’avec les clients ;
  • Accorde la priorité aux personnes, en comprenant qu’une culture d’entreprise solide et solidaire conduit à de meilleures performances et à la satisfaction des clients ;
