Tim Horton's Supervisor - SMU

Job Description

We are seeking a leader to join our team at Tim Horton's at Saint Mary's University!

As the Tim Hortons Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day retail operations, leading a fast-paced team to deliver exceptional service, maintain strict brand standards, and keep operations running smoothly during peak campus hours. You will work closely with the Assistant Retail Manager to drive sales, manage inventory, ensure food safety compliance, and foster a positive team culture.

Job Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Run clean, well-organized shifts that prioritize safety, efficiency, and exceptional customer service.
• Team Coaching & Development: Manage team member performance by leading, motivating, and supporting team members. Provide real-time feedback and foster a positive team environment.
• Inventory & Financial Control: Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering supplies, minimize product waste, and perform cash handling/reconciliation duties including float management and register audits.
• Quality & Standards: Ensure all coffee, beverages, and food items are prepared to Tim Horton's standards, strictly following health and safety guidelines
• Administrative Support: Assist management with administrative duties such as opening/closing checklists, temp logs, and daily sales tracking.
• Guest Experience: Set the standard for guest satisfaction by resolving customer inquiries promptly and ensuring high-speed, friendly service during high-volume periods.
• Food Safety & Sanitation: Enforce strict health, safety, and sanitation protocols (HACCP, WHMIS, and provincial food safety regulations). Conduct daily food temperature and equipment checks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' leadership experience experience required
• 1+ years' food services experience required
• Experience working with Starbucks, or similar speciality coffee franchise an asset
• Extensive knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards considered an asset
• Strong organizational and team building skills with the ability to coach and motivate team members
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Flexible schedule as some evening, weekend, and/or holiday work may be required

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

This is a contract position with the posibility of leading to a permanent position within or outside of Aramark at Saint Mary's University. The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00.
