This role is Hybrid in Mississauga (2 days onsite per week). This is a 6+ month contract opportunity with strong potential for extension or conversion to full-time. Overview of The RoleThis is a senior backend engineering opportunity focused on building and enhancing large-scale, high-performance applications within a complex financial services environment. You'll work primarily with Java, Spring, and Kafka, contributing to distributed, event-driven systems while helping improve application scalability, reliability, and performance.
This role is ideal for an experienced backend engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working with distributed systems, and delivering reliable software in a highly collaborative Agile environment. You'll have the opportunity to work on business-critical platforms while partnering with a high-performing engineering team focused on modernizing and scaling enterprise technology.
