Job description
Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Production Supervisor for our client in Markham, ON. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader with a strong background in electronics manufacturing, production scheduling, quality management, and team leadership.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and possess strong communication, problem-solving, and coaching skills.
  • Pay Rate: $22.00 - $28.85/hour
  • Location: Markham, ON
  • Shift: Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM | Flexibility required for occasional off-shift support and operational needs
  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:
Production Operations
  • Oversee daily production activities to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operations
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor production schedules to meet delivery commitments
  • Monitor workflow and production performance to achieve operational targets
  • Proactively identify and resolve production bottlenecks and operational challenges
  • Ensure adequate production supplies and resources are available
Team Leadership
  • Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and support to production employees
  • Participate in employee performance evaluations and development plans
  • Maintain attendance records and administer vacation scheduling
  • Recommend staffing requirements and workforce planning initiatives
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, IPC requirements, documented procedures, and customer specifications
  • Report and address recurring quality concerns
  • Support corrective action activities and resolution of NCARs
  • Maintain compliance with ESD handling requirements and quality management systems
  • Verify production processes are completed according to established procedures
Continuous Improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout production operations
  • Support 5S and workplace organization programs
  • Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Program Management, and HR teams to resolve operational issues
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency
Material & Production Support
  • Assist in resolving material shortages and production constraints
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing and Engineering teams on equipment and process-related issues
  • Support other production areas as required
  • Handle materials and electronic assemblies in compliance with ESD procedures
  • Occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. or more
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Certificate or diploma in Electronics, Manufacturing, Business, or a related discipline
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge considered an asset
  • Previous supervisory or production leadership experience required
  • Experience working in electronics manufacturing, EMS, plastics, logistics, or similar manufacturing environments
  • Strong understanding of electronic assemblies, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical drawings
  • Experience working with IPC standards
  • Knowledge of ESD control practices and quality management systems
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop employees
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
