About the CASA Mental Health Classrooms Program You will be a part of a team that works within community schools, right where children live and learn.

The CASA Classrooms program provides individual and group therapy, psychiatric care, medication management and schooling according to each student’s individual need. CASA Classrooms are CASA ’ s new model for school-based mental health service.

The program is delivered in partnership with the Government of Alberta, community partners and school divisions.

Job Details Salary: $78,345 to $116,459 Vacation: 20 days Shift structure: Monday to Friday, 7.25 hours per day Primary location: Edmonton Union: Out of Scope FTE: 1.0 Status : Permanent Hybrid/multi-site About the Role Reporting to the Program Manager, the Program Education Lead (PEL) functions as part of a collaborative leadership team, providing educational leadership, direction and support to classroom teams.

The PEL provides leadership support for social-emotional learning and educational service delivery, staff supervision and performance management.

They facilitate staff development and training, and advise and implement program development, evaluation and quality improvement.

The role provides leadership direction to Therapy Support Assistants, and incorporates educational evidence informed in best practice models into CASA Classrooms programming and practice.

The Program Education Lead practices according to the code of ethics and practice standards of their specific discipline and supports scopes of practice and codes of ethics of other disciplines represented on their team.

The Program Education Lead will: Provide leadership in partnership with the Program Manager, Program Supervisor, and Director of Clinical (CASA Classrooms) to support high-performing clinical and educational teams.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the classroom, including program and educational decisions.

Ensure compliance with CASA's Code of Conduct, policies and procedures, Clinical Standards of Practice, strategic and operational plans and applicable education legislation.

Facilitate and ensure alignment with Alberta Education curriculum.

Monitor educational and clinical standards to ensure quality care and service delivery.

Build and maintain relationships with partner school divisions, support teacher recruitment, and collaborate with school administrators and district leaders.

Coordinate student transitions by collaborating with schools to support academic continuity and successful reintegration.

Represent the program by presenting CASA Classroom services and processes to prospective partners and facilitating site visits.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience providing differentiated instruction in specialized learning environments for diverse learning needs.

Knowledge of academic, behavioral and psychoeducational assessments.

Understanding of mental health and its impact on educational settings.

Experience with Response to Intervention (RTI), social-emotional learning (SEL), classroom management, behavior modification, individual behavior support plans (IBSPs), and individualized programming plans (IPPs).

Strong leadership, organizational, communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of relevant legislation, quality improvement, and program design and evaluation.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and collaborate effectively across interdisciplinary teams.

Commitment to respectful, collaborative relationships with staff and stakeholders.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, EMR systems and teams.

Qualifications and Experience A bachelor’s degree in education or related field.

Current or previous Alberta Teaching Certificate.

Permanent Professional Certification (PPC) preferred. Five years teaching and/or relevant experience. Conditions of Employment A satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Intervention Check.

This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.

Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification (training provided by CASA) as well as physical ability to perform all interventions.
