Job description
Description Make a difference in a growing, innovative mental health organization and centre of excellence in people-centered care. Work with supportive colleagues who are passionate about improving lives and champions for quality and continuous learning.

As a manager of Clinical Services, you will be an integral part of a collaborative, inter-disciplinary team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers. If you are looking for a company that is constantly moving forward in pursuit of successful outcomes, get ready to love it here!

What you’ll be doing:

Provide leadership and oversight for the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care, ensuring compliance with professional, legislative, organizational, and accreditation standards.

Manage clinical operations, including complex admissions, transfers, discharges, patient flow, bed management, and responses to rapidly changing patient care needs.

Collaborate with clinical, medical, and interdisciplinary leaders to develop and implement best practices, enhance service delivery, and strengthen patient outcomes and experiences.

Monitor clinical performance, quality, and safety indicators; lead quality improvement initiatives; and oversee the management of patient safety events, incidents, complaints, and emergency situations.

Promote effective care coordination, communication, and partnerships among staff, physicians, patients, families, community organizations, and external providers to ensure continuity of care.

Lead workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, attendance management, and staff development while ensuring appropriate staffing levels within budget.

Support professional practice excellence by monitoring staff competency, overseeing licensure and credentialing requirements, facilitating incident reviews, and fostering evidence-based practice and continuous learning.

Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and psychologically safe work environment by supporting employee engagement, change management, conflict resolution, student placements, and effective team communication.

What we’re looking for:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) required, with a Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field considered an asset.

Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO); CPMHN(C) certification preferred.

Progressive leadership and management experience in healthcare, with demonstrated success leading clinical teams and operations.

Strong clinical knowledge and sound judgment, with a commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care and quality improvement.

In-depth knowledge of the Mental Health Act, relevant legislation, professional standards, and healthcare accreditation requirements.

Proven ability to lead, coach, mentor, and empower staff while fostering collaboration, accountability, and employee engagement.

Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively manage complex situations and stakeholder relationships.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare technologies, along with a demonstrated commitment to organizational values, professional excellence, and continuous learning.

As part of our commitment to the health and safety of our patients, staff and community from COVID-19, subject to any accommodation required by applicable human rights legislation, Homewood Health Centre requires that all staff have received all required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada.
