Location: Lake Country, BC

Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is typically $175,000 to $200,000 based on the successful candidate's relevant experience and FTE hours.

in Lake Country, BC is currently welcoming an Internal Medicine Specialist to join our team and take over ongoing development of the IM department. As a successful candidate, you understand the importance of building relationships with our pet parents and our referring community, to provide the best care possible. • You are a DACVIM / ECVIM boarded veterinarian or preparing to write boards in 2027
• Strong leadership skills combined with a positive team player attitude that is crucial for any department lead
• The drive and ability to help train and mentor your support team
• Exemplary customer service that builds loyalty and trust with your clients (both pet parents and referring veterinarians)
• Excellent diagnostic, ultrasound, and endoscopy skills

About Tri Lake

Located in Lake Country, VCA Canada’s Tri Lake Animal Hospital & Referral Centre is a growing hybrid practice situated in the heart of the beautiful Okanagan Valley, and has been serving the Interior of British Columbia for over 40 years. In 2025, we expanded our ER department to offer overnight services, with onsite DVM support 24/7. The hospital also houses a bustling general practice, featuring a healthy case load of exotic patients, and expanding specialty services including Surgery, Rehabilitation & Pain Management, and Behaviour. We continue to actively recruit for Internal Medicine, Oncology, Critical Care and other specialty services.

The hospital is a 16,500 sq ft purpose-built facility with eight exam rooms, spacious treatment floor, well-equipped in-house lab, four ORs, separate dental suite, an endoscopy suite, Philips Affiniti 70 Ultrasound unit, Aquilion 64-slice CT scanner, and Sound SmartDR+CsI with hands-free capabilities.
