About this opportunity: Location: Border Bacon (Crystal City, MB) Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours/week) Salary: Starting wage from $19.00 per hour. Schedule: Rotating shifts that include weekends, holidays, and occasional alarm response.

This is a physically active role where you’ll contribute directly to our production goals while working in a supportive, safety-first environment. Responsibilities: Feeding and providing general care for pigs. Maintaining herd health and clean and safe environment for pigs. Pressure washing and preparing rooms for animal entry. Performing minor maintenance and sanitation tasks. Completing clerical duties such as maintaining door charts, inventory trackers, and ordering feed and medication. Following all health and safety policies and adhering to Canada Packers’ SOPs for humane animal treatment.

Skills & Experience: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application. Proof of eligibility may be requested during the recruitment process.

Commitment to wearing proper PPE and following safety protocols. Availability for weekend, holiday, and alarm shifts on a rotational basis. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to a rural location. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities and complex tasks simultaneously. Strong communication skills (oral and written) Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Alignment with Canada Packers’ Leadership Values and Code of Conduct. Experience in hog production is an asset.
