Job description
The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Full-Time (1.00 f.t.e.) Temporary Elementary Teacher

at Lloyd Garrison School

. This position will commence on August 27, 2026 and will continue until June 29, 2027. The successful candidate will be teaching Grades 1 and 2.

The school is located in the Village of Berwyn, approximately11kms from the town of Grimshaw and 40kms from Peace River.Berwyn is a quiet community within the Peace River Region of northwestern Alberta, situated on Highway # 2. Qualifications:

Experience working in a multi-grade classroom

Experience in Elementary Education

Knowledge of the Alberta Program of Studies

Excellent communication skills with students, staff and parents

A demonstrated commitment to student achievement

Ability to differentiate instruction

Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting

Assets:

knowledge and skills inGerman and English programming

Requirements:

Must hold or be eligible for a validAlberta Teaching Certificate

Provide an acceptable current Vulnerable Sector Check, dated within six (6) months of your application.

This teaching position falls under the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers' Association and the Peace River School Division.

Annual Salary Range:

$ 66,520 to $ 112,451 (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers’ Association and the Peace River School Division).

Benefits: The following benefits are available to teaching staff when they commence a teaching position under contract and are working at a 0.20 FTE or greater in accordance with the collective agreement between the ATA and the Peace River School Division:
